I am very lucky to be my dad's daughter, because he is a great person in my life. My dad brought me up and fill up my dream. He let me free to choose my own life. He also gives me a lot of options which i can decide by myself. That is the thing that most of fathers in my country do not usually do. They always want their daughters and sons obey. Some father even afford their daughters to get jobs or husbands. My dad doesn't do that. He is very generous and kind. He let me feel free to do any thing I want to do.
I can say my dad was effected by American culture a bit, because he worked for the republic of Vietnam Government before 1975 and was growing up in Saigon city. He communicated with American and people who worked for Government also. He loves freedom. That is the reason why he want to give us freedom at least in our family.
My dad used to go law school in Saigon city before 1975 so that i am interested in law school and want to get this major. The way my dad writes and speaks are interesting for me. that is why I want to learn the things as he studied before.
His hobbies are also affected on me. I like listening to the kind of music that he does like such as English country songs, pop songs. He like dancing and was willing to teach me how to dance when I was a kid (unfortunately, i could not do that). He can play guitar, organ. He can compose some nice songs. I do not have talent as he does, but i am very interested in this. I admire him. He is my celebrity in my life.
My dad also have a very good marrige life. He has been with my mom over 38 years. They are still together and love each other as well. even though my dad got married to my mom for 38 years, he still cares about my mom and respect her.
Since I became aldult, I have wished, I could get married to the man who has my dad's characters. I will be happy and has a happy life. There are still a lot of good things about my dad, but I can not list them all. I have to say thanks God, because my dad is my miracle gift from God.
Also, I say thank you to my mom, a woman who has been with him for a long time and helped my dad brought up us and created a good family.
